This explains what we collect, why, who else sees it, and what you can ask us to do with it. The short version: we keep the minimum needed to run a booking and move money, and the other person on your call never sees any of it.

Who you are agreeing with

Qutie.ai is operated by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME], [registered address], India. Questions, complaints or data requests: support@qutie.ai.

1What we collect

From everyone:

  • Your handle — the name you choose. This is the only thing other users ever see.
  • Your mobile number, because it is how you sign in and how we send a one-time code.
  • An email address, if you give one. It is optional.
  • Your country and time zone, so prices and call times are shown correctly.
  • Technical records needed to keep the service working and secure: sign-in sessions, and a one-way hash of the IP address you consented from.

From professionals, additionally:

  • Your professional registration number and the name on the document, so we can verify you against the issuing body.
  • Your payout details, so we can pay you.

2What we deliberately do not collect

  • We do not record calls. Not the video, not the audio, not a transcript. The recording service is not merely switched off — it is not installed, so there is no setting anyone could change.
  • We never see your face. Masking is applied on your own device, to a copy of the picture, before anything is sent. The unmasked camera feed never leaves your phone or computer.
  • We never store your card number. Card details are collected by our payment provider and never reach our servers. If you save a method, we keep a provider token and the last four digits — enough to recognise a card, not enough to charge it anywhere else.
  • We do not ask for, or store, government identity numbers such as Aadhaar.
  • We do not use advertising cookies, third-party analytics, or trackers. That is why there is no cookie banner.

3What the other person sees

Your handle, and your masked picture. Nothing else. Not your number, not your email, not your real name, not your location. Receipts and statements show handles only.

A professional’s verified status is shown as a badge — for example “Verified Advocate”. Their registration number is encrypted in our database and is never shown to anyone, including the person they are speaking to.

If you both choose to drop the mask during a call, that is your decision and it needs both of you. Either of you can put it back at any time.

4Why we are allowed to hold it

  • To give you what you asked for — your account, your bookings, your calls. We cannot run a booking without a way to reach you.
  • Because the law requires it — payment and tax records have to be kept for a set number of years, whatever you or we would prefer.
  • To keep the service safe — rate limits and sign-in records exist to stop other people abusing your account and ours.
  • Because you agreed — for anything optional, such as saving a payment method. You can withdraw that at any time.

5Who else sees it

We share the minimum, only with companies that do a specific job for us:

  • Our payment provider takes the payment. They receive the amount and a reference, and they collect your card or UPI details directly.
  • Our SMS and email providers deliver your one-time codes. They receive the number or address and the message.
  • Our hosting provider runs the servers the service sits on.

We do not sell your information. We do not share it for advertising. We will hand something over to a court or the police only when we are legally required to, and we will tell you unless we are forbidden from doing so.

6How long we keep it

  • One-time codes: minutes. They are deleted once used or expired.
  • Sign-in sessions: until you sign out or they expire.
  • Your account and bookings: while your account is open.
  • Payment and accounting records: for as long as tax and financial law requires, even after you close your account. These are the one thing we cannot delete on request.

7What you can ask for

You can ask us to:

  • Tell you what we hold about you, and give you a copy.
  • Correct anything that is wrong.
  • Delete your account and the data that is not legally required to be kept.
  • Withdraw a consent you previously gave, such as a saved payment method.

Email support@qutie.ai and we will act within 30 days. Being honest about where we are: deletion is not yet a button in the app. It is a request a person actions by hand. We would rather say that than show you a button that does not work.

8Security

Passwords are hashed with argon2id and never stored in a readable form. Professional registration numbers are encrypted at rest. Traffic between you and us is encrypted in transit. Our database is not reachable from the internet.

No service can promise it will never be breached. If one happens and your information is affected, we will tell you and the relevant authority as quickly as we can.

9Children

This service is for adults. You confirm you are 18 or older when you create an account. If we find an account belongs to someone under 18, we close it and delete what we hold.

10Changes, and how to complain

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top, and tell you in the app when the change is significant.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, write to support@qutie.ai. If you are still unhappy, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
